A "Local Loco" from El Paso, transplanted to Dallas, continues to kick ass in Texas!

Norman Matthew formed a few bands here in his native El Chuco before really hitting his stride with Murder FM.  (Video below)  Norman now operates his music school, The Sound Foundation, and works with his new band, As Strange As Angels. (Video above)

As you can see in this article from voyagedallas.com, Norman is ... literally and figuratively ... rockin'!!  Here's a brief bio from the article:

I was born and raised in El Paso, TX. Seemingly always enamored with Dallas. My mom used to watch the TV show Dallas’. We didn’t have much of local music scene in El Paso. There were two clubs, The Attic and Club 101. Bands from Dallas like Drowning Pool, Course Of Empire, The Toadies would come through. I first saw Deep Ellum on a high school DECA trip and fell in love. In 2010 I moved to Dallas. Opened the music school and artist development studio The Sound Foundation in late 2012 in Deep Ellum. It was a great experience that continues to grow into such a beautiful thing. We have had instructors from Platinum selling bands such as Type O Negative, Danzig, The Polyphonic Spree, and Drowning Pool. We teach musical instrument lessons, songwriting, recording, production, live performance coaching and music business class and consultation.

Congrats Norman!  Thanks for showing Dallas ... and the world ... how El Paso rocks!
