An El Paso photographer took a beautiful photo of active duty soldiers at Fort Bliss breastfeeding their babies tot ry to "normalize breastfeeding." Now the photo has gone viral.

Tara Ruby, of Tara Ruby Photography, is not only a photographer but was an active duty Air Force member from 1997 to 2001. She talked to CNN about the difficulties she faced being a soldier and a nursing mother at the same time. When she found out about the new Fort Bliss nursing room, she was ecstatic for the new moms who can use it. There are comfy chairs to sit in, a refrigerator for storing milk, and a sink, among other comforts that every nursing mom needs. The nursing room was perfect for moms but missing one thing- decor on the walls. Ruby volunteered to take pictures to put up on the walls.

Tara Ruby had an inspiring vision for the walls -- active duty soldiers breastfeeding. Ten women showed up in camp with their babies, ready for the shoot. An Army spokesperson said that the Fort Bliss Public Affairs and Garrison Command approved the shoot. Here is what she wrote on her Instagram when she posted the photo:

Today I believe we made history. To my knowledge a group photo to show support of active duty military mommies nursing their little's has never been done. It is so nice to see support for this here at Fort Bliss.

Through the guidance of my military friends, the Fort Bliss P3T Programand Breastfeeding in Combat Boots, our Garrison command and our Public Affairs, we were able to show that even our mommies in uniform can provide for their babies.

I was active duty a long time ago when support for breastfeeding moms wasn't even an option or a consideration. We have come so far. Breastfeeding their babies doesn't make them less of a soldier, I believe it makes them a better one. Juggling the tasks and expectations of a soldier, plus providing for their own in the best way they possibly can, makes these ladies even stronger for it.

I want to say Thank You to everyone that saw my vision, and helped us in succeeding in making it come true. I am 100% for ‪#‎normalizebreastfeeding‬. How about you?
