The names of the soldiers missing in the USS John S. McCain collision have been released and an El Paso  man has been named as one of the missing sailors.

Today the search at sea was called off for the sailors still missing on the USS John S. McCain after a collision between the destroyer and an oil tanker. The two vessels collided in one of the most congested shipping lanes in the world off the coast of Singapore. Divers are continuing to search compartments of the Navy destroyer and CBS News reported that it appeared some of the sailors never made it off of the ship. Human remains have been located and divers were working to retrieve them.

According to KFOX, one of the missing soldiers is El Pasoan Abraham Lopez. The 39 year-old is an Interior Communications Electrician 1st Class in the United States Navy.

Ten sailors have been reported missing and five sailors were injured in the collision, with one sailor's remains having been recovered. 22 year-old Kenneth Aaron Smith was electronics technician 3rd Class from New Jersey who is a Michigan native. The investigation continues into collision and the commander of the 7th Fleet, Vice Adm. Joseph Auction, has been relieved of duty. The high ranking officer was due to retire in a few weeks.
