El Paso Elks Lodge Seeks Thanksgiving Dinner Donations

Thanksgiving is coming up quick and supplies are needed to help needy El Pasoans have a nice one.

El Paso Elks Lodge #187 plan to distribute Thanksgiving meals to needy, El Paso area families. According to their press release:

Now through November 15, 2017, The El Paso Elks Lodge is hosting its Annual Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive. Elks Lodge 187 will be purchasing turkeys for baskets. A minimum of 50 Thanksgiving Baskets filled with Thanksgiving food items and will be delivered by the lodge, to area families & organizations who cannot afford Thanksgiving dinner.

They're buying the turkeys, what they need are food items like canned corn, peas, green beans, gravy mix, potatoes, cranberry sauce & stuffing mix, bread rolls, coffee and tea along with apple and/or pumpkin pies. Donations can be:

• Dropped off at 2278 Trawood, suite C, Monday - Thursday from 9a-3p or Fridays after 6pm.
• Picked up. Call 915-532-4441 to schedule a time.
• Ordered online and delivered to the lodge, 2278 Trawood. (Some stores offer free shipping!)
