A special splash park is coming to El Paso and your furry buddy is totally welcome!

Once completed, the dog-friendly park will be at the Pavo Real Recreation Center, 9301 Alameda Avenue, in in the Lower Valley. It will have 25 different splash features for people and 7 for dogs. Separate filtration systems will keep the dog and human water from mixing together.

According to an article in the El Paso Times:

Under the city's 2015 aquatics plan, each representative's district will have a spray park. The first four under construction are Grandview at 3100 Jefferson Ave. in Central, Hidden Valley at 200 Coconut Tree Lane near Ascarate Park, Sue Young at 9730 Diana Drive in Northeast and Pavo Real in the Lower Valley.

The Northeast splash park, located in Sue Young Park on Diana, will open in August. The dog-friendly park won't open until 2017 though, so Fido has to stay cool at home for a bit.
