If you're a commercial truck driver, you really should read this!

Wal - Mart, who have long employed and maintained their own trucking fleet, needs drivers.   All the ones they have are getting raises and the 900 or so new ones they need will earn close to $90K a year.

Starting next month, truck drivers will get a per-mile hike of one cent and an extra $1 each time they drop a trailer at a destination, Walmart said Wednesday. That will bring average pay for drivers to $87,500 a year. The company also said people can expect predictable schedules, at least 21 days of paid time off and possible quarterly bonuses. - KHOU.com

A huge driver shortage across the country is causing companies to scramble for truckers and driving up pay scales. If you don't have a CDL, now might be a good time to get one.

Here in El Paso, you can contact International Truck Driving School, Academy School Of Careers or CET El Paso for more info on getting a CDL.
