El Paso Boxer Antonio Escalante Sentenced to Prison

Our news partners at ABC 7 say, prominent El Paso boxer Antonio Escalante was sentenced to 5 years and 2 years in prison on 2 probation violation charges in connection with a former DWI case.

Antonio Escalante was arrested multiple times for DWI. His most recent arrest took place in April of this year for violating his probation. Investigators caught Escalante drinking at a bar. After blood was drawn, it was determined he was drinking.

Antonio Escalante could be released from prison in 8 months for good behavior.
