Several bars in El Paso were raided, and had their cash seized, by a joint law enforcement task force this weekend.

U. S. Marshal's and the El Paso Police Department's gang task force raided several El Paso bars in what is known as a "till tap" operation. The bars had civil court judgments against them in cases involving pay per view and closed circuit events, some going back as far as a 2008 Manny Pacquiao fight.

In these "til tap" deals, agents swarm bars and seize all the money found in the cash registers to pay the court ordered judgments. According to the EP Times, the bars raided...and the amount of money owed by each...was:

Chicago's Street Food ($82,500); TKO's Bar (Papillon Bar & Grill) ($82,500); Joseph's Lounge ($82,500); El Patron Bar ($21,000); El Bandolero Discotheque ($13,000); El Texano Mexican Restaurant ($11,800); Players Billiards ($8,100); and the Horizon Nite Club ($5,500).
