El Pasoan Jaime "Jimmy" Portillo is the author of several graphic novels whose stories are set in El Paso and Juarez.

"Hell Paso: The Story of Dallas Stoudenmire", is about the legendary El Paso Marshall and the amazing, true events involving him in the early 1800's here in El Paso.

"Hell Paso" won the 2014 Southwest Book Award from the Border Regional Library Association and has also been turned into a slot video game available on iTunes and Facebook. He has also been interviewed by AHC as part of a new series called "American Lawmen."

Portillo's other works include "The Railroad Killer" and "Gabriel: The Bloody Edition." He's currently writing an issue of "Escape From Alcatraz," the official comic book series for Alcatraz and Golden Gate National Parks Conservency. Learn more about his work here.
