El Paso 7th Grader Appears On Food Network Tonight
Talia Dancil takes on other young cooks during tonight's "Chopped Junior" episode on the Food Network.
According to the El Paso Times, Talia is a student at the Young Women's Leadership Acadamy. She and 3 other kids will:
kick off the episode making creepy-crawly kabobs that incorporate a "crunchy protein," according to the description for the episode, titled "Bug Bites." In the entrée round, the young chefs get fish fillets and a colorful cereal. Their desserts must use sprinkles and a giant egg.
Talia and the others will also have to do some fast thinking tonight. They'll each be given a basket of "mystery" ingredients. Once they see what they have, they have to whip up a dish to present to the judges.
Not so easy to plan things that way is it? The episode airs at 6:00pm.
