A 2-year-old Shar Pei was left tied up at a Scottish railroad station along with a suitcase containing his toys, a pillow, a bowl and some food.

Humans suck.

The dog was microchipped so Scottish officials were able to track down his (previous) owner.  They had sold the dog, whose name is Kai, on gumtree in 2013 and didn't know where the person who bought him was.

Whoever that POS was, apparently changed their mind and chose this cruel and sad method of giving Kai away.  Scottish SPCA told buzzfeed.com that this case highlighted the potential consequences of selling animals online.

If you're looking for a pet remember, the best route is to go through your local humane society!  They have LOTS of beautiful, healthy animals in need of good homes.  In El Paso, contact the humane society at (915) 532 - 6971, via their facebook page or online at www.hselpaso.org.

UPDATE: I just found this online ... looks like Kai will have a forever home soon!  :)
