Documentary About Juarez Police Chief Opens Friday

When Julian Leyzaola was hired to be Chief of Police in Juarez in 2011 it was at the very height of the bloody war between the narco cartels. Leyzaola had been Police Chief in Tijuana where he had lived through numerous assassination attempts. Many more would follow in Juarez including the one that left him paralyzed in 2015.

Charlie Minn's documentary about Leyzaola is called Mexico's Bravest Man and it opens this Friday at Bassett Place Mall.
