Earlier we reported that Creed singer Scott Stapp had posted a 15-minute video testimonial claiming he was "completely penniless" and living in a truck at times. He also denied using drugs and alleged that his bank accounts had been frozen.

It appears that Stapp's claims are in response to recent divorce papers filed in Palm Beach County, Florida, by his wife Jaclyn. According to the Miami Herald, Jaclyn alleges in her divorce filing that Scott has recently used amphetamines, crystal meth and steroids. She also accuses him of sending a bizarre series of text messages. Some of those texts apparently read as follows:

"Florida is not safe. Biological weapons on the way. U have to leave with kids and meet me in Atlanta."

“I’m coming to get you Satan and children. No mercy. You know how this ends. God created you and now God is ending you.”

“I wouldn’t doubt it if the CIA is behind Alcoholics Anonymous.”

Jaclyn is seeking full custody of the couple's children. Her attorney states, "This is a very painful and personal matter for Jaclyn and her family. Her primary concern remains, as it always has been, the best interest of her children."
