A dispatcher in Lawrence, MA, is on leave after failing to help Spanish-speaking callers. This unnamed woman is under investigation after a number of 911 fails occurred between the dispatcher and Spanish-speaking residents. Finally, one call was released to the media to show just how racist this woman was being, working in a town with a population of over 77,000, where 74% of the town's residents are Hispanic.

During a routine audit, the Lawrence Police Department found a number of 911 calls from this certain dispatcher that showcased just how "ineffective" she is at her job. Yeah, that's pretty obvious -- but what is questionable is that the woman wasn't fired. She was only placed on leave.

This video captured a conversation between the dispatcher and a woman who was trying to report a lost child. I can only imagine just how racist the other calls must be. As of now, the police are continuing to further investigate this incident and the dispatcher has been "accused of not following protocol when dealing with Spanish-speaking residents, failing to loop in language interpreters, and connect the frantic callers to bilingual police officers."
