A wealthy Honduran families assets were frozen for allegedly laundering drug money. Nothing unusual there really, it happens all the time but, these guys owned a freakin' zoo.

The uber-wealthy Rosenthal family, which I'm sure is a very old and totally Honduran surname, had all assets frozen after 79-year-old Jaime Rosenthal, his son and a nephew got popped for money laundering. That "freeze" also tied up money used to care for the 70-acre Cocodrilos Continental. It's home to thousands of crocodiles and lions, at least 40 of which have already died.

About 3,000 pounds of chicken meat was brought to the facility but, caretakers refused to feed the animals because they haven't been paid either. They can look for work elsewhere but warned officials that, if they leave, nearby residents will kill the animals for food, skins and other byproducts.

PETA is always raising hell, and money, over someone's mistreatment of animals. Where the hell are they now?
