Corey Taylor in Kerrang

Record companies are blaming illegal downloading for the decline in music sales.  Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor takes a slightly different angle in Kerrang magazine.

“I have a completely different take on this from a lot of other people. A lot of people in the industry want to blame downloading for the state of [the music business], but I think that if most music wasnt s**t to begin with people wouldnt be downloading this stuff for free."

Should record companies try to maintain a little quality control to make it more worth buying music again? Or are we past the point where anyone wants to pay for anything anymore?

What do you think?
