While we were home one morning a couple of weeks ago a Centerpoint worker comes into our backyard never knocking on our door and wakes up our dogs. Then proceeds to hit them with pipe wrench. My wife and kids watched all this from about 5 feet away. We filed a complaint with Centerpoint about this and have yet to hear back from them. Anyone who has ever met our pets can tell you how they are non aggressive and never bitten anyone! Hoping by post this video we can get them to change their policy on how they handle pets and save the lives of other pets. Please share and tag others to make them aware of how Centerpoint will deal with your pets if they come into your yard.

A contract worker for a Texas energy company was videotaped entering a family's backyard unannounced and brutally beating their dogs.

A Texas family had to witness a contract worker for an energy company severely beat their two family dogs. Mike Willcox and his family are from Kingwood, Texas on the outskirts of Houston. The family home has surveillance cameras and they captured the attack on video and posted it to Facebook.

Willcox says the CenterPoint Energy worker went into his backyard unannounced around 9:45 a.m. His two Weimaraners, Shutter and Flash, saw the man and went towards him. The man then swung at the dogs with a pipe wrench. The contractor allegedly went into the family's backyard to read the house's meter but did not tell the family beforehand.

Willcox was upset that the worker went into the family's backyard without permission and was "swinging to kill (the) family pets." He also added that he wondered how many other times had this worker done this. Willcox said that his wife and their young son were home at the time and saw the incident from their window.

Flash the dog suffered concussion, cut below the eye and lost a tooth. The other dog Shutter has to have surgery for his injuries. They say their dogs have never bitten anyone and are "non-aggressive." The family filed a complaint with CenterPoint Energy but said they haven't received any word back yet.

CenterPoint Energy said that the man wasn't an employee but was a worker from a contract company. They also released statement to Click2 Houston about the incident:

"(The company) does not condone or tolerate abuse of animals by our employees or our contractors. We have notified the contract company and they have assured us that they will conduct a full investigation into the incident."
