Console Used To Record Zeppelin’s Stairway To Heaven Up For Sale

Attention anyone wondering what to get me for Christmas ...

The recording console, or "desk", that Led Zeppelin used to record Stairway To Heaven  is going on the auction block.  Stairway remains one of classic rocks greatest ... and most requested ... songs but, that's not the only cool thing this desk was used for.

It basically recorded the soundtrack to late 60's and 70's rock, reggae, funk and soul being used by The Rolling Stones, George Harrison, David Bowie, Mott The Hoople, Free, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Sly Stone and more.  Contemporary acts like Cage The Elephant also used this historic desk and now, it's up for grabs!

It's not going to be cheap mind you, I'm thinking 6 figures ... minimum.  Maybe a few (thousand) of us can go in on it together!? I have a perfect spot for it and I'll totally let my "partners" use it anytime they want!!
