The snow we've had recently around El Paso has been great, but the snow Colorado got is even better.

The El Nino weather system has brought the Borderland some weird weather. It's been nice actually having winter for a change but, even better than us getting snow, El Nino has caused heavy snowfall in Colorado.

That means we should have a decent amount of water released to us this summer when all that snow melt starts accumulating at Elephant Butte. Filiberto Cortez, manager of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s El Paso office, told the E.P. Times that "we should get at least as much water as last year and that we'll probably get it a little sooner."

If this "wet winter" continues, we will get even more water so...let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
