I remember when Col. Potter started on "M*A*S*H" when Lieutenant Colonel Henry Blake passed away in a chopper crash on his way home. I remember thinking that no one could replace Blake but I was sooooo wrong. Harry Morgan brought a feeling to the show that he was a sturn S.O.B. but at the same time, He was such a great father figure.

"Harry Morgan, 96, who won an Emmy Award playing the tough but fair Col. Sherman T. Potter on the comedy series “M*A*S*H” and was a supporting actor for six decades in movies and on television, died Dec. 7 at his home in Los Angeles."
