From the very first time music was created, no song was and shouldn't sound like anything else. So when a certain artist hits the right chords to set your soul a flame, consider that a blessing.

A great song has the potential of either breaking the mold and creating a special moment or not. Depends on the listener. It also depends to me being a singer/songwriter myself, words mean a lot but so does the opening chord progression. Finding the right chemistry of mathematical impossibility to create a moment that will live eternally in the minds of the listening public seems well, impossible. Is it?

Bands like Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses, Skid Row just to name a few, found that wrinkle in the moment of time to make that song sound eternally, deserves more than a round of applause.
