August is usually when the summer music season is winding down, but this year it will be Red Hot -- as in Chili Peppers.  Drummer Chad Smith confirmed to RockItOutBlog.com that the guys expect their new album to be in stores by the end of August.  At present, they haven't decided on a title, but Smith says they are currently picking the final tracks for the disc and have mostly completed the new album. The Chili Peppers are playing Summersonic in Japan in August and Rock In Rio in September, and other dates are expected to be revealed soon. As for Smith's other bands, the drummer says Chickenfoot will return this fall with a new album, but while he appears on the disc, he won't be joining them on tour due to his Chili Peppers commitments.  And Smith's Bombastic Meatbats outfit is currently promoting its latest album, "More Meat."
