Chevrolet will build a truck exclusively for Texas – again.

Earlier this week, the automaker announced plans to manufacture yet another Texas Edition for their 2014 Silverado, which will only be sold in The Lone Star State.

A spokesperson for the automaker says that the “Texas Edition” will be available on LT or LTZ trim packages, which includes 20-inch wheels, trailering equipment and a locking rear differential. In addition, the LTZ packages also come equipped with a top-of-the-line Bose stereo system and chrome accessories.

While the LTZs come standard with a 355 horsepower 5.3 liter V8, the LT package can also be ordered with a smaller 285 horsepower 4.3-liter V6.

Chevrolet says that it is happy to offer this special edition to customers in The Lone Star State because one out of every six trucks they sell is in Texas – it’s their way of giving something special back to the local market.

Industry experts say the only real difference between the Texas Edition and the Custom Sport model that will be offered in the other 49 states is the fancy badges.
