Our very own Intern Emily had surgery where they had to break her jaw and wire her mouth shut. Which made us think what songs should we dedicate to her...
Intern Emily had surgery to fix her jaw (I can't tell you what is wrong because I think she's perfect) but basically they broke her jaw. So now she has her mouth partially wired shut and slightly resembles a chipmunk. To try and cheer her up because pain meds can't do it all for her, I decided to come up with a list of songs that could speak to Emily during her situation. I'm also trying to convince her to choose one to karaoke for our listening pleasure.
Kanye West, "Through The Wire"
Okay obviously this was our first choice. With her jaw partially wired shut, this song is already ready with lyrics that work with her situation. Also, Emily is weird and loves crazy Kanye almost as much as she loves DJ Khaled.
Sum 41, "Fat Lip"
She has more fat cheeks than a fat lip but hey, the swelling is going to go down soon so let's milk it while we can.
Papa Roach, "Kick In The Teeth"
Super easy choice. A kick in the teeth would probably leave you in a similar situation as our little Intern Emily. Possibly more bloody though.
AC/DC, "Stiff Upper Lip"
After her surgery, her upper lip is pretty stiff, mostly because of the fat that had to cut around the area. Trust me, the photos traumatize me and she is taking this surgery better than I ever would. She's the real MVP.
Nickelback, "Something In Your Mouth"
Okay, I know that this song's lyrics are overtly sexual but come on! The title! She does have something in your mouth. A bunch of metal.
