Everyone is planning things in advance, what with gas prices climbing still, everything else costing more. So I thought giving you a heads up on this year's El Paso Downtown Streetfest will help you begin plotting your summer fun!
The kids will be off from school, the 4th of July holiday is a nice relaxing cookout day when many El Pasoans' only plan is to sneak outside of the city limits and shoot off some fireworks. We get it. (It's our plan, too!)

Queensryche Rocks Streetfest [GALLERY]
Listening to some singers who sound like they need to goob up some serious lung oysters at the end of their shows, you come to appreciate the pipes of someone like Queensryche's Geoff Tate.
The man's in his fifties yet his voice still sounds like he'd been cryogenically frozen from when Nirvana yanked the rug out from under Rock-as-we-knew-it, and preserved for a time when we could again appreciate the best bands from the 1980's.
