I wonder if the Fred Loya house will have a Halloween Light Show? [Video]
You know the holidays are just around the coner when lights shows start to show up.
I wonder if the Loyas will shut down the block for Halloween?

Whether you like this movie or not, these honest movie trailers are hysterical. They pick apart the stupid crap from the movies and make us laugh about them. Since the new Paranormal Activity movie is out now, catch up on the story (sort of) with this honest trailer for the one that started it all.
Today's scary movie is another one that I've seen coming up on the suggested movies list when I watch other horror films. I hadn't really checked it out, the description written about it not really grabbing my attention for whatever reason. Kevin, the bossman, brought it in on DVD and lent it to me the other day, and insisted I watch this movie. I'm glad I did!
We're down to about a week now! Have you got your costume, vehicle, band, whatever together yet?
On Friday, we were trying to come up with some more fun ways to get you into the KLAQ Haunted Warehouse for free, and the guys at the house like alliteration for some reason, so I came up with "Follicle Friday". Shave your head, and we'll let you in for free.
The month wouldn't be complete without one of my favorite movies from the horror/comedy genre, directed by one of the most amazing filmmakers out there. Long before The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit or King Kong movies, Peter Jackson made this wildly underrated movie called The Frighteners.
Okay, I know what you're thinking, "Jesus, really?" Yes, really. A lot of people either didn't get this movie, or got sick because of the camera work. What a lot of people didn't know, was that part of the package for the movie was an A&E special that slid in under the guise of one of their documentaries.
Back to the far east for another great horror film, and back into the vampire realm. Nothing sparkly here, sorry. This is from Chan-Wook Park, the guy made the Vengeance Trilogy of Lady Vengeance, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and the amazingly disturbing Oldboy.
While I was hanging out at the KLAQ Haunted Warehouse, I saw a girl burst out of the door and flee halfway across the parking lot! She was screaming, and her friends were laughing so hard as they came out behind her, so naturally, I had to find out what happened. Here's the cartoon reenactment.
The movies that made Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi cult heroes, the Evil Dead series combines camp, schlock and horror into a fast-paced, impossible-to-stop-watching series of films. Yes, the first two movies were basically the same film, but watching both is still a really good time!
"From the director of Animal House" probably wasn't the best way to introduce people to a horror movie, but I guess in 1981, that was his selling point. What people got, instead of a food fight, was one of the most creative werewolf (or horror) movies that's been made.
I'm a big fan of "In This Moment" and they will be here on 10/19/12
Better yet it's a FREE show! How about a little show warm up.
