Balloonfest 2012 kicked off early Saturday morning, with balloons launching from Santa Teresa Country Club just after sunrise. I swallowed (teehee, I said swallowed) my fear of heights for you, the KLAQ listeners, to go up in a balloon and tell you all about it. Luckily, I lived to do so!

Tonight's double-header of local talent features a band that has graced the Balloonfest stage before, and that's a great reason they're back! The Hillside Gamblers bring it and put on a helluva show every time I see them, and I don't expect this year to be any different.

The road to Balloonfest continues as we gear up for the big three day party at Wet N Wild Waterworld this weekend. The balloons launch all three days at Santa Teresa Country Club in the mornings, really early, like 6am. Then head over to Wet N Wild for the rides, grilling, babes and of course the concerts!
