Carmageddon- I-10 East & West To Shut Down

Both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-10 will be closed in El Paso starting Sunday at 5 a.m. The shutdown is needed because work crews are installing beams across I-10 for the Spur 1966 project. Not to worry, we have detour information to help you avoid traffic!

Both east and westbound lanes will be closed starting Sunday, June 22 at 5 a.m. and remain closed through Monday, June 23, at 6 a.m.

Police officers will be on hand to assist with traffic control. Sun Metro will also detour bus service. Routes 18, 42 and 59 will have altered routes between 4 a.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday.

Motorist are encouraged to take, Paisano, Montana, Yandell, Orgeon, Stanton, Mesa and Transmountain.
