The EPA says that, between Thanksgiving and New Years Eve, our trash output jumps over 25%. Here's what you can do with it.

The city of El Paso has begun it's annual Christmas tree recycling program and you can now dispose of your tree ... without the lights and stuff, ok? ... at these city collection stations:

  • 1034 Pendale Road, (East Side)
  • 121 Atlantic Road, (West Side)
  • 4501 Hondo Pass, (Northeast)
  • 2492 Harrison Avenue, (Central)

Their hours are 8am - 4pm, Tuesday - Saturday. According to the El Paso Times, people also encouraged:

to recycle other holiday waste such as wrapping paper, cardboard gift boxes and gift bags without foil or glitter by putting them into their blue bins or dropping them off at the collection stations. Although, artificial trees are not recyclable, but they can be disposed of at the collection stations.
People are not required to present a water bill, for more info click here.
