100 years ago, on March 9th, 1916, Pancho Villa stormed Columbus, NM at 4:11 in the morning. Angered by the US support of his rivals, Pancho Villa raided the small New Mexico town in the dark of the morning leaving many dead, and even more wounded. It was the last time a foreign army invaded the contiguous United States. So, I headed out this past weekend to Columbus to take in the history myself.
