I called it back in February. Almost exactly how it went down. Negan shows up in the final episode, and the season ends with him swinging Lucille, but we don't know who is on the receiving end. That right there is worthy of me saying this was a fantastic episode. But there was some good and some bad.

A lot of people weren't happy with this episode. And I get it. It was another 90 minute episode, that could have easily been an hour. But I did like how the episode went down. The whole group is heading out to The Hilltop to get Maggie to the doctor. Rick is full of confidence, ready for any encounter with Negan. Things are looking good for our group of survivors. And Morgan finds Carol. Although that whole part of the episode was kind of weird. But it was nice to see Morgan shoot that guy over and over again.

Rick and the group are out on the road and hit a road block of Saviors. The group gets out of the RV, and sees there's no way around. Rick talks some smack and they get back in the RV and try to find a different route. They head down a different road, and there is another road block of Saviors. After realizing the Saviors are waiting for the RV, Eugene steps up to the plate and will drive it as a diversion, while the rest of the group takes Maggie through the woods.

Just when you think they've found a way around and they're going to get Maggie the help she needs. Boom! The whistles start. This part was super creepy but incredibly well done. The RV is there with Eugene, who seems to always gets caught. Seriously, he got caught before Dwight shot Denise with the arrow.

Now we finally meet Negan, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan is awesome! He makes it hard to hate Negan actually. He gives a nice long speech. But let's them know someone is gonna die. And just like I called it, someone meets Lucille, but we don't know who.

I have a couple predictions of who it could be. My first prediction is Abraham. When Negan first pointed Lucille at him, he puffed his chest out and looked like he was almost challenging Negan to hit him. And remember, Denise took Abraham's death with the arrow earlier in the season.

I also think it could be Eugene. The really built it up like he was going down. The long goodbye, the hugs to everyone, and him giving the bullet recipe to Rick. All signs were pointing to Eugene dying. And when Negan says "Taking it like a champ" after the first hit with Lucille, I could see Eugene being the guy "taking it like a champ".

But now we wait, and keep ourselves occupied with Fear the Walking Dead until the next season of The Walking Dead starts.
