I'm guessing there's no Christmas bonus in their future. Actually, I doubt there's even a job in their future.

Millions of dollars in stolen diamonds, weren't actually stolen...

Workers moving J. Birnbach Inc from one floor of their building to another, came across three old, beaten up boxes they assumed were trash. They tossed 'em but, they were actually full of diamonds. A curious security guard opened the boxes and, not being the brightest spark, sold some to another jeweler in the same building!

He kept the biggest one, a 17-carat rock worth $3.2 million all by itself, and a couple of smaller diamonds -- but they, along with about $10,000 in cash, are now in the hands of the police. The guard's on his way to prison and the workers, I'm guessing, are on their way to the unemployment office.
