Check out this epic hit! St. Louis’ Rodney McLeod made a huge hit against Bronco’s receiver Emmanuel Sanders!

Saturday Night Live did a football skit this week where the coach was demonstrating to his team the proper way to tackle under the new brain trauma prevention guidelines. A “good” tackle in the skit involved gently cradling your opponents neck while lying him down gently on the ground “like a fairy tale prince putting his princess to bed.”

Well, it’s not just a comedy skit and it’s not just in high school. Over the weekend, one of the biggest hits of the season took place as St. Louis’ Rodney McLeod made a huge hit against Bronco’s receiver Emmanuel Sanders. It was beautiful. The kind of play of which legends are made. It was called for a 15 yard unnecessary roughness penalty.

Watch the video and behold the new trend in the game once known as “football”: make a brilliant play, deny a touchdown, get a flag and a fine.
