Benefit Saturday For El Paso Girl

A benefit cookout has been arranged to help an 11 year old El Paso girl in need of special medical treatment.

Julia Vera suffers from Pseudotumor Cerebri, a tumor in her head that has already caused her to lose part of her vision.  El Paso Children's Hospital doesn't have the necessary equipment to treat her so, she needs to go to the Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.

The family has some insurance but must handle all the trip expenses, (hotel, food, gas, etc...), themselves. To help, A Chicanos Pride Custom Motorcycle and Car Club is holding a cookout Saturday (4/23) at Rod's Sports Bar, 3900 Pershing. Hamburger and hot dog plates will be sold for $5.00 each. Eat there or, get some to go!
