Looks like it's all about toys today here in blog - land!!

Earlier I posted a way cool hot wheels track, now we get to play with dolls!!

A new Barbie is headed for toy stores, and some people aren't happy about it.  Why?  Barbie got tattoos.  Most of you, and myself as well, are probably thinking "so"?!?!

I don't have a problem with it and the tatts aren't sugestive or anything so I really don't understand what the big deal is.  Half the girls that would want one probably have "inked" parents.  Most, if not all, probably have relatives or close friends with tattoos, sooo .......

It's not like they have never seen one.

Really??  Kids want the things they see, I'll give you that.  However, they see tattoos everywhere. What difference does it make if Barbie gets one?  They'll decide .. when they're legally old enough to get one .. whether or not they want one.  You're worried a toy will bring this about??

I guaran-damn-tee you Barbie is not going to make that decision for them. Their friends, family, favorite actors, musicians and athletes are going to have WAY more to do with that then a doll will.  (Bad choices for role models you say??  Priests, cops, soldiers, teachers and astronauts have tatts too!!)

It's also not the first time Barbies been to the Tattoo shop.

It's also not exactly being marketed at kids. The dolls are $50 each and only 7,400 are being made!

Bottom line; get over it. Raise your kids right, educate them and teach them to form their own opinions.

Then you can rest easy at night and not be scared that plastic dolls are steering your kids down the road to ruin.

(That was actually Chucky's job ... he eff-ed it up.)
