A baby has died after his father forgot to drop off the toddler at daycare before he went to work.

Another toddler has passed away after the child's parent forgot the baby was in the car. Six-month-old boy was pronounced dead on Friday afternoon in the parking lot of Walmart in Helotes, Texas in San Antonio Metropolitan area.

The boy's father works at the Walmart and was supposed to drop off his son at day care before heading to work at about 6:15 a.m. The father got off work around 3 p.m. on Friday and found the boy dead in the backseat of the SUV.

Firefighters who responded to the scene reported that the father was "visibly distraught while leaning over the child." The father was cooperating with police until he went into shock, and was then taken to the hospital for chest pains.

No charges have been filed and the police have not released the child and father's identities. The temperatures in Helotes Friday were around 100 degrees. There have now been at least 27 children who have died in hot cars this year alone. 6 were in Texas.
