Authorities say the search is underway for a prisoner who has escaped the FCI La Tuna facility in Anthony, Texas. Law enforcement officials are warning the public that a prisoner at the  Federal Correctional Institution, La Tuna (FCI La Tuna) has gone missing. Officials believe inmate Omar Castro walked away from the Satellite Camp prison yesterday evening.

Prison officials discovered Castro was missing just after 5 p.m. from the prison facility. La Tuna is a minimum security facility that holds 314 prisoners in Anthony, Texas. Omar Castro is 38 years-old and described as a brown-eyed, black-haired Hispanic male. He's also listed as 5-feet, 5-inches and weighs 195 pounds. The U.S. Marshals Services and various law enforcement agencies responded to the prison and are aiding in the search for the escaped convict. Castro was serving a 108 month prison sentence for "for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine."
