Johnnie Walker
You don't hear him that much on the air...well, except for a million commercials and stuff, but mostly he hides behind the scenes, trying to make things work. He occasionally succeeds.
You guys are probably aware by now that I love horror movies. But you don't always have time to watch feature films. Well, thanks to a YouTube channel from Fewdio, you can watch little nightmares whenever you want! Check out some of these well-done scares, and let me know what you think!
I've been a heavy metal/hard rock/rock guy for a long time. I listen to a lot of it, a lot of the time. But I can also appreciate when someone is simply amazing at what they do as a musician. It doesn't matter what type of music they create, as long as they are good at it and love what they do. That said...
Cattle Decapitation's drummer David McGraw is on tour with the band right now, and when they hit Berlin yesterday, he decided to forgo the usual touristy things like sight-seeing. He didn't even feel like just sleeping in or reading a book on cow revolution or the cow subjugation of the human race.
Instead, he went to a German hospital and had a "gnarly abscess" removed from his armpit! Yay, fun! Then, he did what anyone would do right after surgery. He went and played his full on death metal show.
Some more cool stuff coming out tomorrow in stores! There are two really good ones out tomorrow that I think you should check out. Find out more about them in the video, and then get to the store and pick them up! Support the artists so we can keep getting more music to enjoy!
It was just last month that Volbeat came and killed at Speaking Rock, and their new song, "The Hangman's Body Count" is kicking ass on the air right now. They've now released the cool animated/lyric version of the song on their YouTube channel. Czech it out.
So Zakk Wylde of Ozzy and Black Label Society fame has decided to launch an instructional video series on his YouTube Channel. This is great! He's a monster player, and everyone could learn something cool from Zakk.
I'm going to try to make it two weekends in a row where I get to go watch a movie in the theater! That's right, I'm making that bold statement now, at the beginning of the weekend. But what should I see? There are so many movies out that I haven't seen, some that I don't really want to see, and some I really do. You guys tell me what to go see.
We all know and love Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins, the brave and (initially) happy Hobbit from the Lord of the Rings movies. But what most people don't know, is that Frodo...I mean, Elijah, is a huge horror movie nut! He's even formed a production company to make a bunch of them. In "Maniac", you get to watch a maniac stalk and kill his victims through the killer's eyes. Kind of disturbing, really.
Hey guys, if you have your tickets for the sold out Killers show at the Abraham Chavez Theatre, heads up! There has been a time change announced. The doors will now open at 7:00pm, and the show will begin at 8pm on May 6th. So ignore what's on your tickets or any previous information you have about the show.
I got the chance to go to the movie this weekend, late at night, as you should for a scary movie. As a fan of the originals, heck I still have the bound-in-fake-human-skin edition on DVD, I really think this movie is fantastic! There's a reason it's number one at the box office for this weekend.
I remember watching Headbangers Ball every week, looking to see new bands, cool(?) new videos, and sometimes the weird stuff that happened during the interviews. I remember when Rob Zombie spent like four months painting the set! It was always fun to watch Dave Mustaine torment the hosts relentlessly.
I've been following the travels of Scott Ian from Anthrax during his stint as the host of Fangoria's "Blood and Guts" on the Nerdist Channel. There's been a ton of blood, faces getting ripped off, stuff being blown up, and now...Scott becomes a wolf-man. (He hates the term werewolf.) Check it out in the new video!
