Johnnie Walker
You don't hear him that much on the air...well, except for a million commercials and stuff, but mostly he hides behind the scenes, trying to make things work. He occasionally succeeds.
People (and by people I mean my family) always make fun of me for giving mostly gift cards during the holidays. It's like I cheated or something, not knowing what they wanted at that particular moment in time. And you know what? I think I'm okay with that. And here's why.
I have three copies of Quebec Magnetic, the new DVD from Metallica to give away today! Keep listening, I'll be giving them out before I leave today! Congratulations to John, who won the first copy. The next one could be yours!
I know it doesn't feel like it, with the crappy summertime weather happening around here right now, but this is technically ski season for the northern hemisphere. We may not have any snow, or in fact, any cool weather, but other places around the world do. To kick off ski season in Austria, the Scorpions rocked Ischgl in the Austrian Tirol on December 1st.
A lot of people have been waiting for Rob Zombie's next film, since the success of "House of 1000 Corpses", "The Devil's Rejects", and "Halloween". So, when he announced he was filming "Lords of Salem", there was a lot of excitement about it. That excitement sort of settled down a lot, since time has passed and he's gone back to music and touring. But now, the movie has an official release date for the US!
Get ready to blow out your speakers with some Motorhead! Wednesday in Berlin, Scott Ian, Rob Caggiano, Frank Bello and Joey Belladonna from Anthrax jumped on stage with Motorhead for the last song of the night, of course it was "Motorhead". Being a big fan of both bands for a long freaking time, I love stuff like this. Enjoy!
It's almost Christmas, so there will be a ton of Christmas songs played everywhere, but not many as cool as this one. This is a cool, really heavy version of the classic "The Grinch". The band that recorded it is called 16 Second Stare, and we even have the music video for it! How much do you want to hear this song throughout the next weeks?
Now that the rest of the band and Geoff Tate have gone their separate ways, and the court has ruled that both entities can use the name Queensryche, which one are you interested in more? They're both working right now, one version on new music, the other on a sort of nostalgia tour.
Everyone knows the internet is for two things. Porn and cat videos. Because the Corporate Overlords won't let me post the porn stuff here, I will share with you this really funny video of a cat doing a death metal drum cover. Enjoy the crazy-ass drum cat insanity.
Eddie Izzard is my favorite transvestite comedian...okay, the only one I really watch...so I thought I'd share. Hope you get a good laugh out of this, as Eddie rambles on about Jesus and the Dinosaurs Enjoy! (NSFW, BTW)
There's a lot of stress this time of year, with work and family stuff continuing, plus the added insanity of the holidays and having spend craploads of money on stuff for people. Let's sit back and laugh a bit before getting started all over again tomorrow.
Here's Robin Williams, being totally insane on religion. Enjoy! (NSFW, BTW)
Whether you like these songs or not, these videos will make you laugh. I found the mime dancing video for "Torn" a few years ago, and since then comedian David Armand has done a bunch of them on British TV. He's absolutely hysterical. Enjoy!
Volvo has announced that it's going to take the last part of the accident equation out...the driver. They plan to have self-driving cars by 2014, and a whole fleet by 2020! Just think, your car would talk to the other cars around it to keep you from fender-benders or worse, and it'll get you to work, your girlfriend's house, your other girlfriend's house, and then back home to your wife. All safely and securely!
