Quick -- what has fireworks, works of art, hot rods, hot chicks in dunking booths, face-painting, feats of strength AND The All-American Rejects, all in slow-motion? It's (at long last) the StreetFest Slowdown!
The All-American Rejects gave a great high-energy performance to cap the second night of the El Paso Downtown StreetFest Sunday. So many sing-along-worthy songs! Here's another, and one of their biggest hits -- "Move Along".
El Paso's Downtown StreetFest brought the peeps, Louisiana's Better Than Ezra brought the fun, especially leading into their song "Juicy" with a touch of the Rolling Stones, and a break for an ode to the Sugar Hill Gang's classic rap, "Double Dutch Bus" in the middle!
You would think in a city known for being go-go-go 24-7-365 that it would be hard to find some alone-time outside of a hotel room in Las Vegas, day or night. Apparently, this is not true. At least not overnight at Vegas' McCarran International Airport.
When you hear Ames, Iowa, you probably think "corn", "flat", or maybe, if you know your Big XII sports, "college town". Well, this video lauding the city of Ames...won't change your perceptions one bit!
Andy Samberg returned to host the season finale of Saturday Night Live and delivered another classic SNL digital short, this time as over-hyped, over-worshipped, over-paid (aren't they all?) EDM DJ Davvincii, who asks the question, "When Will the Bass Drop?"
Michael Sam has his shot. The St. Louis Rams took the unambiguously gay defensive end in the seventh round of the NFL Draft and our own Coach Lou is back with his take on Sam. Just don't get too close.
Take a look and a listen as over 9,000 fans were on hand to check out the El Paso Chihuahuas and the brand new Southwest University Park, Monday, April 28, 2014, marking the return of affiliated baseball to the Sun City.
Kind of like this post, the El Paso Rhinos saved the best for last.
Following a pair of by-the-skin-of-their-teeth wins over the Idaho Jr. Steelheads and Texas Brahmas and a come-from-behind effort against the Phoenix Knights in the round-robin first round, plus a 4-3 thriller over Phoenix in the semifinals, the Rhinos hopped on the three-time defending champion Steelheads and never let up Sunday to claim the WSHL's Thorne Cup
The wheels are falling off in my hometown. After Albuquerque police officers shot and killed a homeless man, protests over their tactics turned ugly. Police fired tear gas to disperse crowds, Anonymous is hacking the websites of APD and the city of Albuquerque, and NBC affiliate KOB-TV finds this reporter to interview this protester
