Buzz Adams

Miguel de Montague "Buzz" Adams was born in 1992, the last in the noble Merovingian bloodline. As an infant, the young heir-apparent was kidnapped by Sardinian  pirates and spent his formative years pillaging the high seas and eventually becoming the world's most deadly sword-fighter.  In his late teens, Buzz entered a Tibetan monastery where he learned to levitate and mind-read. He also invented time-travel. After solving Fermat's Last Theorem at Cambridge in 1991, Adams relocated to El Paso, Texas where he has worked for KLAQ ever since. Buzz Adams was recently told to update his on-line bio and knows that no one in management will bother to check his work.

The Worst Golf Course in America is in My Hometown [VIDEO]

If you're like me, a recreational golfer without a fancy-schmancy membership at a Country Club, you've probably played a few shabby courses in your lifetime. Golfers, I'd like you to visualize the worst course you ever played. Got the image in your mind? Good. Because it's going to look like Augusta National after you watch this...

Movie Review: The Biggest Rip-off Nobody Caught in “Django Unchained”

I've always been a Quentin Tarantino fan and I guess I always will be although it looks like I'm going to have to start categorizing it as a guilty pleasure. In Django: Unchained there are all the calling cards of a Tarantino movie: witty patter and reparte, quirky characterizations and intense emotional conflict. Everything I expect in a QT movie is there. It's just that I feel like I've seen it before.

Mostly, it's Tarantino lifting from the film-maker that he admires most: Tarantino.  This is the plot of every Quentin Tarantino movie (not counting Deathproof) since Jackie Brown.  In other words, every Tarantino movie since 1997 has had the same goddamned plot!

Here it is....

VIDEO: Winner Danika Tries Her First Hamburger

This delightful young woman is Danika Moreno, the winner of our trip to the Shock Top End of the World Bunker Party.

Danika won the "Most Mundane Item on my Bucket List" by telling us she's never eaten a hamburger in her entire life. She's not a vegetarian, nor is she from some unfortunate country where they worship delicious animals. In fact, she likes all the ingredients in a hamburger. Just not hamburgers.

Technically, she still hasn't "eaten a hamburger" but she tried one bite of each of our favorite burgers.

To see her reaction and reviews, keep reading.

App of the Week: Morfo!!

Since I am so technologically savvy, someone here at work suggested that I do a "Buzz's App of the Week" post. "That's a great idea!", said not a single other person who knows me.

I do have one new app that I've been having waaaaay more than 99 cents worth of fun with. It's called Morfo and for less than 1/7  the price of a Starbucks Java Chip Frappuccino® Light Blended Beverage, you can make photos of you, your friends, or even George-on-the-dollar-bill Washington look like they're saying what ever you damn well see fit for them to say.

As an example, look at this video of my boss, Townsquare-El Paso G.M. Brad Dubow, telling Lauren the Local and Stephanie the Corporate Computer Babes that I no longer

Ravi Shankar Should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Well, more than Donna Summer who is going to be inducted this year or Madonna who was inducted in 2008.

I won't get into an argument over whether sitar music is "more rockin'" than "Hot Stuff" or "La Isla Bonita" because I'm not sure it is.

But he certainly had more influence on bands that definitely are Hall of Fame caliber. In fact, I will make the argument that the sitar music of Ravi Shankar is responsible for a very specific, very identifiable vibe in rock music history.

For instance, if you were making a movie set in the mid to late-mid Sixties and you wanted to communicate the message of "Hey, this movie is in the mid to late-mid Sixties!" you might do so by having this song on the soundtrack...
