Buzz Adams

Miguel de Montague "Buzz" Adams was born in 1992, the last in the noble Merovingian bloodline. As an infant, the young heir-apparent was kidnapped by Sardinian  pirates and spent his formative years pillaging the high seas and eventually becoming the world's most deadly sword-fighter.  In his late teens, Buzz entered a Tibetan monastery where he learned to levitate and mind-read. He also invented time-travel. After solving Fermat's Last Theorem at Cambridge in 1991, Adams relocated to El Paso, Texas where he has worked for KLAQ ever since. Buzz Adams was recently told to update his on-line bio and knows that no one in management will bother to check his work.

Final Patio Concert Show Tonight at the State Line

The Patio Concert series is drawing to a close but we have one more awesome free show for you at the State Line. Tonight, blues guitar phenom Ryan McGarvey performs. Guitar Player magazine just name him "Newcomer of the Year" for 2013 and, much like Ralph Macchio in Crossroads, "this boy can play!" If you won't take my word for it, I've posted a video (below) for you to check out.

Show will start at 8pm on the State Line patio stage. I'll do announcements and giveaways and then the blues will commence. Also, this is the last night so please remember to bring canned food or a couple bucks for El Pasoans Fighting Hunger. Thank you!

Are El Paso Bicyclists Road Hogs? See This Video

Take a look at the video on the next page of this post. It was sent in by a listener who travels Highway 28 in New Mexico every day. His claim is that cyclists hog the road and create conditions where accidents are likely to happen.

There was a terrible accident that took the life of a cyclist last week that has many people talking. In no way am I trying to assign blame in that accident as I wasn't there and don't know what happened. But I think we should talk about the issue so we can hopefully prevent accidents like this in the future.

Should cyclists be riding in packs on busy roadways? Should they even be on these roads at all? Watch the video below and afterwards I'll give you my perspective as a cyclist.

What Sucks – $75 Limit at Gas Stations

Does it tick anyone else off that you can't fill your tank all the way at most gas pumps? According to statistics that have just been made up by me, 19 out of 20 gas stations have the policy that your credit or debit card are limited to $75 per transaction. Is this the station's policy or the credit card company's?  Here are the reasons this annoys me so....

Best Vine Videos of 2013

Hello, fellow Internet user! Maybe you're not as tech-savvy as I am and you haven't heard of the latest "information-superhighway" craze.  It's called Vine and it's what all the super-hip social mediaratti are into now.

Here is a montage of the best Vine videos of 2013. I've noticed an interesting corollary: the more elaborately planned your video is in exact negative correlation to how funny your video is. Yes, even here on the cutting edge of computer based comedy, the funniest 6 seconds are still America's Funniest Home Video-style clips of people busting ass while running next to a swimming pool.  Slapstick is the purest form of humor and Bob Saget is it's prophet.
