In October, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian released his stellar autobiography, 'I'm the Man: The Story of That Guy From Anthrax.' The book, which Ian co-wrote with author Jon Wiederhorn, offers a fascinating look into Ian's childhood, the early days of Anthrax, the origins of thrash metal and more.

Ian recently stopped by our studio to chat about 'I'm the Man,' and in this video segment (watch above), we asked the metal guitarist why now was the right time to publish his autobiography. We also were curious to know about the reaction to the book by his mother, who is depicted in a brutally honest way in the early chapters of Scott's autobiography.

We spoke with Scott Ian for quite a while, so this segment is just one of a handful of videos we'll be posting in the coming days. For some great insight into Ian's autobiography, check out the video above. And if you haven't picked up 'I'm the Man: The Story of That Guy From Anthrax,' yet, it's a great read.
