Anthony Toy Run Sunday

Bikers and car buffs, show off your rides Sunday and help brighten Christmas for needy Borderland kids.

The Anthony police department is sponsoring their annual toy run and parade Sunday. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Toys R Us at 801 S. Mesa Hills Dr. Entry is $10 and a toy, with a minimum value of $10, per rider. Cars, trucks and bikes are welcome in the parade which rolls at 11:30 a.m.

It ends at the American Legion Hall, 221 Poplar, in Anthony Texas. The party will feature plenty of food, (steak, burgers, hot dogs), drinks, lots of door prizes you could win and live music from Jessica Flores & The Crosstown Trio and Summer Junkies.
