Frontman of Antemasque and El Pasoan Cedric Bixler-Zavala is being accused of throwing hot liquid on fans at a concert in New Zealand.

Westfest is a music festival held in Auckland, New Zealand. The metal festival includes performances by Soundgarden, Faith No More, Judas Priest, Lamb of God and more. The rockers of Antemasque were performing during the day at the festival, when concertgoers said lead singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala threw a plastic kettle into the crowd, filled with some sort of liquid.

Concertgoer Hugh Smith said he and his friends got most of the liquid on them, and that it was "boiling hot." They also gave the New Zealand Herald a photo of the burn on his arm. Other witnesses at the show said the singer seemed angry about something something, and proceeded to throw things onstage during the performance.

The New Zealand Herald spoke to a Westfest representative who said they were investigating the incident but had no comment. According to the spokesperson, the band's management requested the story not run. Bixler-Zavala was lead singer of El Paso's Mars Volta and At The Drive-In.
