Hank Williams Jr and his legendary Monday Night Football intro are history!

I realize you probably already know that, the reason I'm bringing it up again is to ask you a question.  Do you agree or disagree with this?  According to ESPN, they dumped him. According to Hank, he quit.  I'm sure there's some truth to both sides, but that doesn't matter.  The real issue here, as Hank himself points out, is freedom of speech.

Whether Hank knows what he's talking about or not, he has a right to say whatever he wants.  Just like you or me. Being famous may cause you to be careful how you say things, but it doesn't make you unable to express a thought.  If he painted the president as a genious, an idiot, a criminal or a saint; his opinions are his opinions.

We all have a right (the first amendment guarentees it!) to say whatever we want.  We also all have a right to agree, disagree or IGNORE the things people say that are contrary to our own way of thinking.

I don't think he should have been "let go". (hell, the publicity this generated for ESPN alone should have made them want to keep him!!)  Let's get those comments going!!  Should people (famous or otherwise) be penalized for voicing their opinions??
