Alamo Drafthouse Honors Women

The coolest theater in El Paso has put together another killer series of classic movies. This time, all the movies feature strong and dynamic female lead characters!

The new movie Colossal will be out soon and to celebrate that, Alamo Drafthouse has arranged showings of a bunch of movies featuring "Colossal Women". Flicks with female characters "kickin' ass and takin' names".

Both action flicks and comedies made the list and there are even a couple of animated movies scheduled to be shown in this series of "movie parties". (Not all will be screened in El Paso though.)

Some of my favorite female actresses and characters are represented in these films, including Beatrix Kiddo, (played by Uma Thurman in the Kill Bill movies) and the absolutely, smokin' hot Leeloo. (Played by Milla Jovovich in the Fifth Element.)
