While sitting on a porch enjoying the beautiful rainy weather in Grand Isle, Maine Carl Bouley caught an incredibly shocking video. This high school student should use this video for some kind of science project because this is an A+ assignment.

Carl was filming the great view of the sky behind St. Gerard church when lightning struck the steeple of the church. I have no idea what caught on fire and fell off the steeple but it looks like something out of a Michael Bay film.

Luckily, Carl's dad is a volunteer firefighter and walked across the street to check for any damage that occurred after the scary lightning strike. It's not the first time the church has been struck by lightning. According to Maine Sun Journal, it was hit back in August of 2007.

Carl told the Journal that he was pretty scared by the strike and that it felt, "like a small shockwave hit." I would have been probably curled into a ball and cried my eyes out, but good job for not throwing your phone while recording, Carl!
