The Burning of Rome is one of those bands that have such a unique sound, you can't use a certain genre or compare them to another band to describe their sound. Hailing from the sunny coasts of California, The Burning of Rome bring the sounds of joy, mystery and serial killers in various songs.

The band also performed recently in Albuquerque alongside The Offspring, Sublime with Rome, Pennywise, Bad Religion, Manchester Orchestra and Ten Years. There are up and coming in the alt rock world, and people should take notice. Their new album, "The Year Of The Ox" is out now and was recorded at the local and world famous Sonic Ranch. Here's how they have described their new album:

Year of the Ox weaves the three concepts of art, rebellion and life into a cascading aural braid. Each song, disguised by infectious pop hooks and provocative allusions to historical lore, elicits an intensely moving account of Traub’s interpretation of the human experience.

The Burning of Rome will be playing Wednesday night at The Lowbrow Palace, 111 Robinson Street. Tickets are only $10 and are available at the door or through Hold My Ticket. Doors open at 9:00 P.M. and the the local band Vox Vendetta will be opening the show. I highly recommend people come out to enjoy this show. You won't be disappointed!

You can also check out The Burning Of Rome on their Facebook page and see their interview I did with them at Sonic Ranch last year when they were recording their new album.
