Steven Assanti was staying in Rhode Island Hospital for a weight loss program. Unfortunately, he was kicked out after ordering a pizza. Now he stays in the truck of his Dad's SUV as he searches for a place to live.

His father Steven Veillette is incredibly concerned for his son because his needs to be monitored due to his excess weight. Assanti's social workers are working to have him to stay at Kent County Hospital, but his father believes he won't be able stay in a hospital to be monitored: "They tried to keep him for over the holiday weekend and to see if they could find anywhere, which, you know, I pray for the best that it does happen, but me, myself, I don't think it's going to happen."

Veillette can't afford to keep him in a hotel either, "I just can't afford to dish out $500 a week for a hotel."

The hospital would not give a statement to NBC 10 about Assanti's treatment.

Veillette says his son can't be left alone because he is uncontrollable. On Wednesday, a television show producer did call Assanti but no details were shared.
